Prior to joining chambers, Nathan was a paralegal at two top London law firms, assisting across their practice areas and on notable cases such as Re X (FGMPO No. 2) [2019] EWHC 1990 (Fam) and G v G [2021] UKSC 9.
Practice overview
Private Law
Nathan represents parents, children, intervenors and interested parties in private law proceedings. He often works on cases involving serious domestic and sexual abuse and intractable hostility. He has a particular interest in proceedings with an international element and frequently represents parties seeking to relocate on either a temporary or a permanent basis.
Public Law
Nathan represents local authorities, parents, children, and intervenors across the full range of public law proceedings. He is comfortable working alongside parties with cognitive difficulties and other vulnerabilities, and takes pride in his measured and tactile approach. He is also instructed in adoption proceedings, for both applicants and respondents.
Financial Remedies
Nathan has a thriving financial remedies practice with experience of running cases all the way through to a Final Hearing. He is pragmatic but robust and where possible, will seek to resolve proceedings by consent. Nathan has experience working with international assets and trusts, and is able and willing to provide advice at an early stage, so as to avoid the need for lengthy proceedings.
Pro Bono
As Chambers’ Pro Bono Champion for Advocate, Nathan is dedicated to supporting individuals who cannot afford legal representation. He actively collaborates with charities and organisations, and has worked closely with law clinics and domestic abuse charities throughout his legal studies and career, demonstrating his strong commitment to access to justice.
